چکیده
A field experiment was conducted in a split-plot design with 3 replications at Research Farm, College of Agriculture, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), during the rainy (kharif) season 2019, to evaluate performance different herbicides direct-seeded rice (Oryza sativa L.). The comprised 2 main plots, viz. rainfed and irrigated, 8 weed-control treatments, bispyribac sodium 25 g/ ha, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl 60 g/ha, + penoxsulam 26.7 cyhalofop 135 metsulfuron-methyl chlorimuron ethyl 4 triafamone ethoxysulfuron 40 20 hand-weeding twice weedy check, subplots. dominant weeds associated experimental were mainly monocot, jungle [Echinochloa colona (L.) Link] Bermuda grass [Cynodon dactylon Pers.], sedge, nutgrass [Cyperus iria (L.)], dicot weed such as sissoo spinach [Alternanthera sessilis R. Br. ex DC.]. results indicated that, post-emergence application g/ha days after sowing (DAS) recorded highest efficiency (87.75%), followed by g/ha. Higher grain yield (3.09 t/ ha) weed-free treatment which par

Effects of Seeding Time and Weed Control Methods in Direct Seeded Rice (oryza Sativa L.)
Field experiments were conducted during the 2 year period from 2008 and 2009 to determine the effects of three seeding dates and seven weed control methods in DSR. The results suggested that seeding in the first week of July reduced weed density and biomass, increased kernel weight, leaf area index, and kernel yield compared to seeding rice in the first week of July. Amongst weed control method...
متن کاملEmergence of Red Rice (Oryza sativa) Ecotypes Under Dry-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa) Culture1
The effect of seeding depth on emergence of red rice (Oryza sativa) ecotypes from Arkansas (AR), Louisiana (LA), and Mississippi (MS) was determined under dry-seeded rice production in clay and silt loam soils in Arkansas. By 21 d after planting (DAP), all red rice ecotypes had emerged from planting depths of 1.3, 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 cm in both clay and silt loam soils. In silt loam soil, seedlin...
متن کاملResponse of Rice Genotypes to Weed Competition in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice in India
The differential weed-competitive abilities of eight rice genotypes and the traits that may confer such attributes were investigated under partial weedy and weed-free conditions in naturally occurring weed flora in dry direct-seeded rice during the rainy seasons of 2011 and 2012 at Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The results showed genotypic differences in competitiveness against weeds. In weed-free p...
متن کاملMolecular Mapping of QTLs Associated with Lodging Resistance in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) is an alternative crop establishment method with less water and labor requirement through mechanization. It provides better opportunities for a second crop during the cropping season and therefore, a feasible alternative system to transplanted lowland rice. However, lodging is one of the major constraints in attaining high yield in DSR. Identification of QTLs for lo...
متن کاملQTL Hotspots for Early Vigor and Related Traits under Dry Direct-Seeded System in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Strong seedling vigor is desirable trait in dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) for enhancing crop establishment and the ability to compete against weeds. A set of 253 BC3F4 lines derived from cross between Swarna and Moroberekan was phenotyped for early vigor (EV) and 8 related traits viz., early uniform emergence (EUE), shoot length (SHL), stem length (SL), shoot fresh weight (SFW), total fresh weig...
